Please come and help us celebrate the Keizai Society’s 17th anniversary at our Shinnenkai,
Friday, January 27th at 6:00 pm at our regular site, Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club.
We will be honoring Debra Bowen, our new California Secretary of State, who is on our Board
of Directors. She is being given the Rising Star Award due to her understanding of Japanese
business. Come and find out the many reasons why the Keizai Society views her as a Rising
Star including her educated leadership as the head of the Senate Subcommittee on new
Technology which led to her making sound, unbiased, proactive decisions such as on RFID.

We are also honored to have the Consulate General of Japan to help start the year by
participating in the Kagamiwari (traditional sake barrel “breaking”) ceremony.

Due to the anticipated number of attendees, we strongly recommend your register
on line to ensure your participation. Start 2007 by continuing to strengthen
existing business relationships and forging new ones. Therefore, please bring
lots of business cards to exchange, including one to enter the members-only drawing
for the many exciting prizes that is topped with Northwest Airline tickets to Japan!
