Please come celebrate the Keizai Society’s 18th anniversary at our Shinnenkai, Friday, January 25th at 6:00 pm at the Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club. This is the first joint event with SVJEN (Silicon Valley Japanese Entrepreneurs Network: http://www.svjen.org/english/index.php) and supported by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization: http://www.jetro.go.jp/)
We will be honoring Regis McKenna, the Silicon Valley icon, with a Lifetime Achievement award. McKenna is included in the San Jose Mercury News’ Millennium 100 as one of the 100 people who made Silicon Valley what it is today. McKenna founded his own high tech marketing firm, Regis McKenna, Inc., in Silicon Valley in 1970. Over the past 30 years, his firm evolved from one focused on high tech start ups to a broad based marketing strategy firm servicing international clients in many different industries and countries. McKenna retired from consulting in 2000 and is concentrating his efforts on high tech entrepreneurial seed-ventures.
Come and be part of the Kagamiwari (traditional sake barrel “breaking”) ceremony with the new Consul General of Japan, Consul General Nagamine and California Secretary of State, Debra Bowen.
Due to the anticipated number of attendees, we recommend you register on-line (www.keizai.org) to ensure your participation. Start 2008 by strengthening your business relationships and forging new ones. Bring lots of business cards to exchange, including one to enter the drawing for the many exciting prizes* that we typically have at our Shinnenkai. We look forward to celebrating 2008 with you at our 18th anniversary Shinnenkai.
*Great drawings including two round trip tickets to Japan from Northwest
